It was insane
Like surfing the wave of a hurricane
I saw look in his eye
I started lusting for the sacred cry
And was promised all of those things
That would make a dead man rise and start to sing
I'll never forget what I heard that day
It had me tongue tied
As I heard him say

Playing with my heart like a monkey in the middle
I'm trying to keep my sanity while trying to solve the riddle
I've never rode the tide and now I'm hanging in the breeze
